Portable X-RAY

Overview

Portable X-rays are a type of imaging test that uses X-rays to create images of the inside of your body. Unlike traditional X-ray machines, portable X-ray units are designed to be moved easily to different locations, making them ideal for patients who are unable to travel to a radiology department.

PROCEDURE

The procedure for a portable X-ray is similar to a traditional X-ray. You will be asked to lie down on a table or bed, and the X-ray machine will be positioned above you. The X-ray technician will take a series of images of the area being examined.

Conditions Portable X-rays Can Detect

Portable X-rays can be used to detect a variety of conditions, including:

Fractures
Dislocations
Pneumonia
Foreign objects
Fluid in the lungs
